The French Development Agency (AFD) implements France’s policies regarding international development and solidarity. Climate, biodiversity, peace, education, town planning, health, governance... Its teams are involved in more than 4,000 social and environmental high-impact projects in French Overseas Territories and 115 other countries.
The agency chose to create a rounded booklet with colourful tabs, to reflect the AFD’s logo, in order to make appraisal interviews more fun since they are often perceived to be a stressful time for employees as well as managers, whereas it should be the time for real discussions which allow the collaboration to improve on a long-term basis.
Made for you asked Gilles Rapaport, company design expert, to create humorous illustrations which help to tone down the annual appraisal as well as encourage it to be looked at in a different light.
